Brian and Ashley...

My two biological kids are Brian and Ashley, we came into our wonderful blended family when Brian was 10 and Ashley was 8. They have always been so close, they really never would leave each other with out saying I love you. Now that they are 23 and 21 they always seem at odds, and it breaks my heart. If I help one of them out with something the other gets angry about it. If things are going well with one the other isn't thrilled about it. When one needs help the other is annoyed. I don't understand how they went from being there for each other no matter what, to wanting almost nothing to do with each other. I know that growing up and having adult relationships and marriages changes everything, but when it comes right down to it, these two are missing out. The thing is some days I am really so sad about this, did I do something to cause the resentment or did their dad's death drive some bizarre wedge between them? Does anyone have any experience with this? Do they get back to normal ever?

Until later,
Hugs,
Shelly

My sons are 38 & 40 and get along really well even though they are polar opposites. They did start to get much closer when they found out I had bladder cancer 2 years ago. I'm doing good and it has been good for their relationship.

Can't help you with this one. My kids are not as close as I'd like them to be--and it doesn't help that they're all in different time zones. Hopefully, they'll outgrow it with age.
