So for my Friday posts I will be chatting about my 2011 finance plans and goals. At the moment my finances are a mess. As I have said previously the hubster had surgery in July and then was placed on disability so there went one of our incomes, he started receiving some disability pay in December but we are so behind now! My 2011 goal is to just dig out and be semi-comfortable again and maybe start a little bit of a savings! So I have decided that to save money I will not be getting my nails done or my eyebrows waxed until the BIG 3 are all current. The BIG 3 are my mortgage, my second and my car. I have to say it is killing me, but I can do it!
This is what my nails normally
(these are not really mine but a very close similarity)
and this is them now :(
I know they are bad, I am so sorry to frighten you like that!
Until later,
Hugs,
Shelly

Thanks for visiting my blog today, I think my nails are worse. I have 7 kids and 2 and another one comeing grandkids. I have enjoyed looking around your blog.Have a good day.
Bless your heart. Prayers will be with you. I hope sharing your Fridays will make your burdens lighter.
Mornin', Shelly! Wanted to thank you for visiting my blog and I'm your newest follower. Sorry about the hub's surgery... That can really set you back, can't it? I kept my acrylic nails up for years and when the divorce happened, I cut back to pedicures only.... They last a whole lot longer and sure make me feel pampered. That's my little treat to myself. I have two grandgirls who are five years old. Twins! HAPPY SATURDAY!
Thanks for stopping by Treasures! I can relate!!! I gave up the nails, pedicures, wax jobs and a lot of other things when our income took a nose dive!! Ours wasn't due to an injury, my husband was in the real estate industry in Southern California for 15 years. I was lucky enough to stay home with the kids for 11 years. When the economy tanked we went from his nice cushy 6 figures down to unemployment checks. It's taken him 2 years to get a decent paying job and I know have been working for the last 6 months. Anyhow, hang in there!!! It's amazing how easy it is to give yourself a mani/pedi when you really have to! ;)
