My finance Friday blog...

So for my Friday posts I will be chatting about my 2011 finance plans and goals. At the moment my finances are a mess. As I have said previously the hubster had surgery in July and then was placed on disability so there went one of our incomes, he started receiving some disability pay in December but we are so behind now! My 2011 goal is to just dig out and be semi-comfortable again and maybe start a little bit of a savings! So I have decided that to save money I will not be getting my nails done or my eyebrows waxed until the BIG 3 are all current. The BIG 3 are my mortgage, my second and my car. I have to say it is killing me, but I can do it!

Things that make me happy, Thursday 1....

Hello to all my bloggy peeps!! I have decided that I am going to start a little thing called "Things that make me happy Thursday", the goal will be to show or talk about things that make me smile, little or big, serious or silly, deep or shallow(lol), I think it will be a blast!! I hope some of you will join me! So here is my first thing that makes me happy:

I won the little notebook and pen at TOPS last night! Aren't they so cute!!
I bought the Country Sampler, I just couldn't help myself it makes me sooo happy I am going to have to subscribe to save me some mula!! Wintergreen Lifesavers!! it just happens to be my major weakness right now,YUMMY!!

People that feel sorry for themselves! I really think that if you have a positive attitude positive things happen and the same goes for negative thoughts bringing negativity into your life.


3. If you had to describe your best friend in five words or less, what would you say?
funny, supportive, helpful, beautiful, kind

4. If you did not have to worry about money or go to school what would you do for a living? I really think I would do what I am doing, I love my job. I would probably travel a little more so I would have to work a little less.

Diet Dr. Pepper. Can not live without it.

So tomorrow we are having a baby shower for my baby's baby! My youngest daughter is having a baby! I am so excited but it is also a little bizarre cuz she is my baby!!

Dressing Up...

One of the funnest things about granddaughters is the dressing up, whether it is for real or for play.

Weekend..

I am so ready for a weekend without a holiday!! Woo-hoo! I will have time to get everything for Ashley's baby shower, YAY!! We went to the Dr. today and all is well, Baby Boson-Ray is doing great!! To Do: Make diaper cake, Make diaper wreath, Make banner, Take Pics for all bloggy friends!!

Please don't take the Chevy!!...

So it all began when the hubster had back surgery on July 7th and then shortly after was told that he would be on indefinite disability!! Unfortunately, we are not the smart kind of people who are prepared for this kind of a predicament and so we went from a two income to a single income family with no warning! I was able to keep treading and he finally started getting disability in December so now I am working on catching up the house and the 2nd etc.. but my car payment has been the one to slide. I am so sad about this to because I love, love my car, it is my buddy. It is an adorable orange Chevy HHR. We do everything together! We lug the grandbabies, the groceries the Home Depot supplies! I am so afraid I am going to lose her! I really am at a loss on what to do. Oh well, hopefully the repo man doesn't come before I am able to get her caught up! Sad, sad situation :(

Windows and Parties Galore!..

Well,it all began on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, with my first of three Thanksgiving dinners. My parents decided they were going to go out of town for Thanksgiving so being the kind of daughter that feels that it is very important for the great grands to spend time with the newest generation I held a "Thanksgiving" dinner on that Sunday. Then of course we had Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving and then we had another "Thanksgiving" on the following Sunday so that we could at some time during the holiday see all of our large blended family. Then in December besides all the hectic shopping and baking and decorating, we had my Birthday get together on the 14th. Then we had to finish these:

Then we had our Christmas Eve Breakfast, then our Christmas Day Dinner.
Then the hubster turned 50 on the 27th and my daughter turned 21 on the 28th and then we had a big New Years/50 Birthday Party!!!

Yes I did survive, but unfortunately this is one of those years that I am soooo glad that it is all over!!
