Fun finds Friday...
So we did had about two minutes of sunshine last Saturday so Ashley and I decided to do a little yard sellin' and I am really excited with my finds.
First I found a brand new - tags on pair of black dress capris, a darling pair of white pants and a cute pair of white shorts for $1 each- Yay!
Then I found this little pitcher also $1 and so. dang. cute!
I am going to be using it for this -
I am thinking about painting it red, what do you think?
Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! I will be heading south to the wonderful land of Logandale! I can't wait it is the most laid back, relaxing place in the world!! plus I get to spend some quality time with my inlaws. I probably won't post again until Tuesday, but be sure and watch cuz I will be doing my giveaway next week and it is AWESOME!

Look what I did....Boston's dresser..
I am so proud of this little project!! I hope you like it as much as I do!
I started with this dingey old dresser that I found at the DI for $5 and some paint I have had hanging around the house forever, the color is called unripened banana green and it is exactly that colorSome of the drawer pulls came on the dresser and some I bought at Home Depot for about $2. I modpogded them with this striped scrapbook paper - so cute!
and this scrapbook paper is the drawer liner, I just sprayed it with the spray glue, perfect!
and lastly these little laminates, they are a perfect match for all his little nursery stuff!and came up with this!!
Isn't this adorable?!! I love it, I can't believe I did this and it turned out so dang good!
Here are some close-ups

Spring time (I wish :() table top...
Question: Will we ever have Spring/Summer weather here in northern Utah?! Seriously, I've got the blues :( I need some sunshine!! I think I may have to go tanning to get some Vitamin D in my body! Anyway, I decided that if I decorated for Spring, maybe it would feel more like Spring.
I decided to go with this sheet as a tableclothe because it is very springy and it only cost me $.99 at Savers!
Here is a close-up of the place setting.
I got these cute plates at Savers too, I just think they are so cute and I love the flowers!
And finally the center -
How is that for a little more Cheer?!

Look what I got!....
So, quite awhile ago I won a giveaway from Pinkybrown R Edesign (how clever is that name?) and it never came. I was a bit disappointed but I don't judge and just figured something came up. Well, last night when I got home guess what was waiting for me?! It was my giveaway prize!! It was the Sex in the City DVD and perfume, so excited!! But...thats not all she sent, nope, she felt so bad about taking so long that she sent the cutest ever little Anthropologie bird house I have ever seen!
Isn't this adorable?!
Here is a close-up of the little bird.
I love this, you have no idea how much!!
So here all together is the loot she sent me
Awesome!! Thank you so much Jennifer, I really do appreciate this and you didn't have to send an extra goody for being late, but honestly I am so glad you did!!
Have a Happy Weekend Bloggy Friends! 2 followers from my Awesome giveaway!

Table top Tuesday, umm make that desk top....
I decided I would like to share pictures of where I spend a great deal of my time - at my desk in the Weber County Commission Office! I have said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my job! I really feel so blessed to have this amazing job, it is interesting, it keeps me busy, it helps pay my bills and I love all the people I work with! Can it get any better than that?
So with no further ado here are the pics.
This is what you would see as you walk into our office. I keep my desk pretty organized with my stacks of work on the credenza behind me.
These two angles are what I see everyday.
Here are some close-ups of some of my fun stuff-
My business cards, my cute daily calender, hand sanitizer, lotion, stamps and fun fuzzy pen!
Cute little bumble bee cell phone holder!
Telephone (always fun!), document holder and fun little swan pen holder that my friend Bertha brought me from her cruise!
And last but not least, this is the reminder card for our 9th annual Charity Golf Tourny. This year we are raising funds for the Children's Justice Center and the Weber County School District Foundation. I am loving that they are both Children's Charities this year, Yay! So if you would like to donate a basket or something it would be for a great cause and it would get your name out in this area!!
So thats it, the place I spend 8 hours, 5 days a week. Thanks for visiting!

Me, Me Monday... Please don't judge...
Okay, before I show this next picture please understand my little cottage/house was built in 1943, back when rooms were itty-bitty and storage was unheard of. For most of the 11 years of us living in this house this room was Ashley's. After she moved out it became the room where everything was thrown. The idea was for me to eventually use it as a craft room. Well, I am so embarrassed to say that this is what it became;I know, I know I should be ashamed and I am, it is horrible!!
Because it is a small space and things are so cramped even if it was somehow straightened I couldn't find anything. I occasionally buy frames or framed pictures etc. for future projects and I also have some pictures I like to switch out occasionally so I decided that I needed to find a way to use every square inch of space. I know this is cluttered but it is actually very organized and functional. So here is my craft room now -
Crazy crowded I know but it works because I can see every frame and picture that I own.
The white shelf holds all my paints, glues, unframed pictures and tools.
The brown shelf holds all our games, movies, CDs and more of my craft stuff ie. fabrics, wall-papers, candles and flowers.
This little corner is the hubster's, it has his dresser, his pictures and awards and his hats.
His closet is also in here.
Close-up of all my spray paint, I love this stuff and obviously need more!!
More craft storage!
This shelf is pretty amazing it holds a ton of stuff!!
I notice that the floor doesn't show in any of these pics, but I promise after I picked everythng up there really is a floor in this teeny-tiny room.
Well, I know it isn't all fancy-shmancy like alot of them out here on blog land but its all I've got and it works. And honestly, I kind of like it!

Fabulous finds friday...
First of all I just want to let all of you devoted blogster friends know that I am 4 followers away from the big 100!
Next I really wanted a bird cage, so I went on a search and I found this on my first time out -
I really like it, but I can't decide if I should paint it to brighten it up or just leave it, what do you think? I thought $3.00 was a steal.
Lastly, I found this cool little basket as Shopko -
It is made out of magazine pages! Isn't that the coolest thing ever?! I am going to try to copy and make one myself. It was on clearance so I paid a whopping $4.49.

I am also so thankful that this little angel (and her parents) lived with me until she was 6 months old -

Look what I made!.....
For Mother's Day this year I made these really adorable, really easy jewelry frames for my daughters, daughter-in-laws, Mom (of course), two of my lovely friends and also as a B-day gift for a teenager -whew, seriously I made about ten of these babies!
I started with this-
Alot of scrapbook paper and modpodge.
and this -
Plastic canvas and many colors of Krylon Spray paint.
and this -
Fabric, fake flower wire, gorilla glue and/or hot glue.
and this -
Frames and again, many colors of Krylon Spray paint.
Here we are in process:
First the letters - I just ripped the paper and modpodged it to the letters.
Then the flowers - I just wrapped the fabric around the wire and rolled it, gluing as I went. I discovered half way through that I really didn't need the wire. Oh well, what ever works best for you is the way to go!
The plastic canvas covered with lace - I spray painted some of the canvas and some I didn't, then I covered them with lace, but you don't have too.
The frames - Just sray painted the frames, they don't have to be perfect, you want them to have character.
I added this Krylon glitter to some of the frames -
Then I put them all together and added little hooks for necklaces, bracelets or rings.
Here are the final results -
Here are some close-ups -
Earrings hook to the canvas. Rings, necklaces, bracelets and watches hang on the hooks. They look so cute hanging on the wall, just like artwork that serves a purpose. How awesome is that?!
I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoyed making them! I am linking to and One Month To Win It and and
